The Hotel Freigeist Göttingen is a center of creativity and inclusion. Conceived by hotelier Georg Rosentreter, this 118-room establishment builds on the city's legacy as a place for academics, philosophers and radical freethinkers.

The rooms and suites, from 24 to 61 square meters, are elegant and Nordic, and all have oak floors, Santa&Cole floor lamps, slate gray wallpaper and natural wood elements.

Public spaces foster community spirit with grouped seating areas with oversized armchairs and blue velvet sofas. Colorful Moroccan cement tiles feature prominently in these areas, as does the use of blue glass. Custom-designed rugs by Nani Marquina are the hallmark of the ''Wohnzimmer'' event space and also the suites.
